About The Wild and Curious

The idea for The Wild and Curious came about after the Founder, Theresa Christine, did some serious Parts Unknown bingeing. A few seasons in, she noticed something that bugged her. Too often, when there were women on the show, they would cook a delicious meal while the (usually male) guests would sit down and talk about it. She wanted to hear stories from the women in the background and bring them front and center, so The Wild and Curious was born.

The Wild and Curious is all about travel, culture, and intersectional feminism. It explores what it’s like to be a woman in the world, all around the world. It’s about travel as a self-identifying female. It’s about extraordinary womxn from all parts of the globe.

How We Met

Paris us.JPG

We are Craigslist strangers who met in 2015 and became globetrotting BFFs.

Having just moved to Los Angeles, T was searching for a room to move into, and S needed a new roommate. S responded to an ad with the subject line “I’m the Craigslist killer,” so T ignored her email and poorly timed joke. After a few follow-ups, though, we met in person, T moved in, and we became best friends.

Aside from the typical roommate/best friend activities (Netflix binging, wine drinking, etc.), we have gone swing dancing in Paris, chilled with kitties at a cat cafe in Vancouver, and sampled so many gelato flavors in Rome that a store owner cut us off.
